Wakefield Free City Bus
The Wakefield Free City Bus service links the city’s Westgate and Kirkgate train and bus stations, shops and retail parks. Buses run every ten minutes from 7.30am to 7pm, Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 5pm on Saturdays. Stop 13 (Wakefield One) is the nearest stop to Wakefield College.

- Leave the M1 at Junction 39 and join the Denby Dale Road/A636 towards Wakefield.
- At the fourth roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Charlesworth Way/A636.
- Go through 1 roundabout and turn left onto Ings Road/A638.
- Continue to follow the A638, continue straight onto Westgate.
- Use any lane to turn slightly left onto Mulberry Way.
- At the cross roads go straight ahead and Wakefield College is on the left.
- Leave the M1 at junction 41 and join the A650 towards Wakefield.
- At the fourth roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Leeds Road/A61/A650.
- Keep right to stay on Leeds Road/A61/A650.
- Continue to follow A650, Wakefield College will be on the right.
Parking availability at each College varies and is particularly limited at Wakefield College (no student parking available and limited staff parking), parking for disabled students and staff is available at all Colleges. Staff wishing to park at Wakefield College must apply for a permit, application is available made via Human Resources.

X32 Bus Service

- Leave the M62 at Junction 32.
- Follow signs for Castleford/Glasshoughton on Park Road then turn left onto Colorado Way following Xscape and Freeport signs.
- Go straight ahead at first roundabout.
- Take first left onto Thunderhead Ridge at second roundabout and continue 200 metres to the Castleford College.
