Digital Industries at Wakefield College

Whether you’re into designing apps, developing games or pursuing a career in digital marketing, here at Wakefield College, we’ll give you the skills you need to succeed in the digital industries.

Digital industries are now the strongest performing sector of the UK’s economy (Centre for Economics and Business Research, 2019). In the future, those with digital skills are most likely to progress in their careers and in the workforce.

Digital industries also offer flexibility. There’s lots of transferable skills, so those with one specialism can easily move on to another. There’s a wide range of digital job roles available across a wide range of different companies and organisations, so you won’t be limited to doing one type of work with a digital industries qualification.

So why wait? Get the skills you need to turn your future digital career into a reality.

I’m 30 years old and I’ve worked within a forensic psychiatric setting since I was 18 and never really considered doing anything else. However, I saw an opportunity to study this course and thought I’d give it a go! While there’s obviously an academic spin on everything, the course is run like a workplace environment where tasks are set so I learn how to do things for myself.
