The Waterton Park Hotel formed the backdrop for Wakefield College’s annual Apprenticeships Awards Ceremony this week. Local business leaders and dignitaries were joined by senior college staff to celebrate the success of apprentices and employers at the glittering awards evening.

Earlier this year the Sky Home Service team and Wakefield College created a dynamic partnership to gain new insights which will help to increase diversity in the Sky’s Home Service Engineer team, and give students access to the Sky Home Service Apprenticeship scheme.

Electrical manufacturer OE Electrics has established a partnership with Wakefield College to offer two engineering apprenticeships to local students and is confident this will be the first of many apprenticeship opportunities to be offered through the partnership.
