Wakefield Children’s University to hold May-Hem event for all!

Wakefield Children’s University will be hosting a free family event at Castleford College on Wednesday 31st May 2023, 10am – 2pm. The May-Hem! open event is an opportunity for CU members and their friends and family to take part in activities provided by Learning Destinations and College tutors, all under one roof! The event is open to all, between the ages of 5-14, and is free to attend.

CU members can receive Learning Hours for attending the event while non-members are welcome to attend and find out more.

Learning Destinations attending include RSPB St Aidan’s & Fairburn Ings, Girlguiding Whitwood Division, Wakefield School of Tennis, Castleford Library, Renewi, Castleford Heritage Trust, Wakefield Cathedral, Featherstone Rovers Foundation, Hearts Collective and Wakefield Museums and Castles.

Children and their families can also gain an insight into the different courses on offer at The Heart of Yorkshire Education Group with the help of our course tutors who will be delivering a selection of interactive activities.
