The College’s Care & Early Years department is set to make a huge contribution to CAP Care this year as part of the annual ‘Make a Positive Contribution Week’.

Continuing from previous contributions to cause, the department (which consists of a range of courses in the subjects of Early Years, Health & Social Care and Counselling) is aiming yet again to work alongside students to collect and donate food to CAP Care.

Curriculum Development Manager Hayley Anderson says “We are very happy to be able help the charity again this year. The students are very hands on, collecting and donating the food as well as making up the hampers and decorating the hamper boxes. It astounds us every year that the students donate such enormous amounts of food and make the hampers look nice for the recipients. This activity brings the whole of our students together to work as a team, a skill very valuable to their future employment.”

This year the department is aiming to top their previous record of 42 by donating a total of 50 hampers.
